The Jubilee

Classic Shape, Powerful Voice

The Jubilee has a dreadnought shape and takes its name from the Biblical concept of the Year of Jubilee where all debts were to be forgiven every 50 years. The Jubilee has a large, focused sound and excels in the hands of rhythm players.  A large 16” lower bout gives a strong bottom end and exhibits a nice balance through the mid and treble ranges. Whether you’re leading a congregation, performing with a band, or playing solo, the Jubilee holds its own.

The Selah

Timeless Character, Refined Design

Named after the Hebrew word Selah, which appears throughout the Psalms as a pause for reflection, this OM-style guitar invites players to slow down and connect more deeply with the music they create. The Selah is a guitar for those who value subtlety, nuance, and expression. With its comfortable body shape and focused midrange, The Selah is especially well-suited for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and those who perform in more intimate settings. It offers a clear, articulate voice with excellent balance across the tonal spectrum, never overpowering, always present.

The Pearl

Compact Frame. Soulful Blues Sound.

Named after Uganda, which is known as the “Pearl of Africa, the Pearl is our interpretation of the traditional parlor guitar, built for players who appreciate tone, intimacy, and expression. Its smaller body produces midrange-forward voice that shines in folk, blues, and roots-inspired playing. Its smaller body shape invites close, expressive playing and delivers a focused tone that cuts through with clarity and character.

Handcrafted With Care, Start to Finish

Every DuncanAfrica guitar is made entirely by hand in our Uganda workshop by trained luthiers who bring precision, patience, and pride to every step of the process. From wood selection to final setup, no shortcuts are taken.

Satin Finish

To preserve the natural beauty of the tonewood and enhance the guitar’s resonance, we apply a satin finish by hand. This smooth, matte surface feels organic and ages beautifully over time, developing a character that reflects the journey of the musician who plays it.

Wood Binding and Purfling

Rather than using plastic or synthetic materials, we add fine wood binding to each guitar. These traditional appointments are not only beautiful but also reinforce the instrument structurally. The result is a guitar that looks refined, feels solid, and honors the legacy of true luthiery.

Inlaid Headstock
Our distinctive inlay logo at the headstock is a signature of authenticity and craftsmanship and a mark of pride from our luthiers. Our Standard Series features a gorgeous wood inlay while our Artisan Series features a ornate mother-of-pearl inly.
